Polarized Sunglasses

The reason I am writing this is to educate people who have extreme sensitivity to light as to the best sunglasses I have found which do help a great deal.  Without these sunglasses I’m forced to close my eyes and I wouldn’t be able to look at my computer screen right now.

I hope that by sharing with you my experience and my recommendation for sunglasses that eliminate glare that you will better be able to function.

The best sunglasses that I have found to reduce glare are Maui Jim sunglasses.  I have owned several pair of name brand sunglasses before I became ill, but these were only worn outside when it is sunny out like how most people would use them.  Now with my MedicalMysteries and my severe seizures I have such a tremendous sensitivity to light and glare and I’m virtually blind without wearing them.  I wear them day and night and indoors.  Without them my central nervous system becomes over stimulated and it feels as if a hammer is smacking my nerves.  This increases the Vertigo that I also have.  Vertigo feels like your spinning very, very fast and moving forward at the same time.  Now add in my sensitivity to light and the result is pumping into walls, falling over, headaches, nausea, and fatigue.    

I wear a pair of Maui Jim; style MJ Sport, Kanaha’s.  Maui Jim sunglasses use PolarizedPlus2Technology, which reduces (all but eliminates) glare better than any other brand of sunglasses I have ever owned.

For those of you have sensitivity to light due to a medical condition or those of you who need reduce glare during driving and recreation, I highly recommend Maui Jim sunglasses.
