Lets take a walk through the "field's of understanding" prepared for us by Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary/Thesaurus, in the hope of allowing some Wisdom to shine through:
According to the following dictionary, definitions of the words "sole" & "proprietor" or the noun "proprietorship"), when used in conjunction with each other: "sole proprietorship" adopts a legal definition of (belonging exclusively or otherwise limited to one use. specified individual, unit, or group, one who has the legal right or exclusive title to something : owner
b : one having an interest (as control or present use). It is obvious that when an entity(which each, in his own right is)conceives and idea, it is "SOLELY" that entities property, after all its "AN IDEA" so unless Antagonist's reside "within" the heads of someone else(the Visionaries), at the time of the thought(idea's conception), they have NO OWNERSHIP in it! Should this have only been a "GAS STATION" with you as the sole proprietor, would you ask ANY customer or vendor for that matter to take care of the cash register while you went on vacation?
It would be my guess if you had any intention of staying in business, the answer would be no! Would your answer be different if customers & vendors asked, to play a part. The point that need s to be addressed here, is without intense scrutiny odds are very poor that a stranger would be allowed access to your books or business! Trust would need to be gained, friendship earned, and then more trust gained! After all, an invitation into person's livelihood is not a "TRUST" to be taken lightly, or that many would tolerate being tampered with from external sources. Should detrimental tampering occur, it violates the "Conceiver's" Constitutional Right to pursue his or her own "Happiness", fortunately for all of us, our vocabulary possess a word that addresses these harmful behaviors. Our legal system, provides penalties for violations of these rights: That word is "tort", it denotes, an external entity's desire to damage or harm, through wrongful acts done without regard for the well being of the "Conceiving Entity"!
An equally disheartening fact that surfaces when dealing with people preferring to initiate or participate in tortuous behaviors, is this: "It Takes Ten Positives to overcome One Negative" what this results in is inflammation of an already souring situation. As that conflagration of negative rages, the fire faces only half the pressure it needs to be extinguished! Fortunately, for HeyWhatEver, any negatives recently pronounced against it, are doing so from an educated position. How is that, You ask! Having recovered from internal attacks of a most vile and heinous nature, the sole proprietor of the concept that is HeyWhatEver, has been and always will be Kevin ROCK Reiss, this is a dream that was given more than ten years ago, and the reason HWE has gone through what it has and survived is because it is supposed to be here! I don't think I could say that much stronger, except to say this: The HeyWhatEver Concept, has done some much needed house cleaning, emptied its closets and slimmed down in certain areas, we are fit, able and willing to run however hard we need to, to be what we set out to be! If that cause problems for some, we did not want it to happen, but the health of the business must come first!!
